Simply put? Jesus is ruling the world!
After his resurrection, Jesus says that ‘all authority’ in heaven and earth has been given to him by God (in Matthew 28:18-20). This means he has authority over every nation, government, company, hospital, and school – and everything else in the entire universe, including every single human being! He is in charge. It also means that you and I belong to him.We are safe in his hands!
Jesus is leading and helping everyone who has put their life in his hands. And not only is Jesus, the good shepherd, leading and helping his flock – he has begun restoring the world! When God brought Jesus through death and out the other side, he started the job of ‘fixing’ the world.
God’s great renovation project has begun. It is now only a matter of time before Jesus comes back to finish the job!
