#267, 3-Jan-04 Our Right to passage

The resurrection is significant because it is what gave us the right/ability of passage into the kingdom of heaven. Our sins are erased through the blood that Christ shed for us. When we repent, we die to our old nature, the sin nature. Just as Christ was resurrected after death, so are we as new creatures. It was necessary for Him to return in the flesh to Glorify God and the prophecy of His resurrection. There are no lies in Gods word. Even in the old testiment, it was foretold that Christ would come, taste death, but be resurrected. His physical resurrection was needed even for His diciples to believe.
